Introduction to Extended Family for Kids Workshop

We know that 1 in 28 children have a parent incarcerated. This workshop provides effective solutions for working with these children that are easily implemented. Hands-on activities demonstrate how Extended Family for Kids, an evidence-based program, can build self-esteem, ease feelings of shame, address anger issues, and strengthen communication skills.

Extended Family for Kids Program Leader Training Workshop

  • 6 Hour Workshop
  • For training Extended Family for Kids Program Leaders
  • Led by Laure Cemons, author of Extended Family for Kids
 

Workshop attendees learn how to start and lead their own Extended Family for Kids programs. Attendees experience all nine EFK sessions in hands-on activities.  Extended Family for Kids Curriculum Guide ($200 value) is included. Workshop graduates can receive professional Continuing Education Credits.

Going Home Workshop

  • 1.5 Hour Workshop
  • For Department of Corrections Re-Entry Programs, law enforcement, re-entry coordinators, prison ministry organizations, social services, churches
  • Led by Laure and Jerry Cemons, authors of Going Home Workshop
 

In this Workshop we focus is on the family dynamics that occur when an incarcerated individual returns home, bringing with him or her a way of life that worked for them on the “inside”, but is foreign to family on the “outside.” Six problem areas and practical solutions are provided through interactive learning. Learn a communication secret that might just keep your family together!
