February 20, 2017

Going Home for Professionals is a free workshop for law enforcement, judiciary, attorneys, correctional personnel, and volunteers working with returning inmates and their families.

Monday, March 6, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
First Baptist Church Fort Payne – Fellowship Hall
106 Grand Avenue Northwest
Fort Payne, AL 35967

Workshop attendees will

  • Learn six key areas of re-entry adjustment and tools for dealing with each one
  • Take home an easy-to-learn communication secret to diffuse any situation
  • Understand family dynamics triggered by re-entry and learn practical coping techniques
Going Home is taught by Laure and Jerry Clemons. They have lived through the prison experience and developed real-life solutions based on their own adjustment period. The Clemons have led over 500 inmates through Going Home, and taught Workshops at national and regional conferences.

"Anyone who works with returning citizens will benefit from this Workshop," Laure Clemons said. "We present the family dynamics involved in going home. More importantly, we give solutions for each of the problem areas. Professionals in the fields of probation and parole, corrections and law enforcement have told us this training assisted them in their work with inmates before and after release."
