The Mar. 16, 2022 Extended Leadership Academy Graduation and Field Trip was a huge success! Students from four Cherokee Co. ELA Groups met at the Cherokee County Historical Museum to celebrate their 2021-22 ELA Group completion and tour the Museum. In this past year, ELA Students have continued to live out their ELA Motto - "Lead Yourself!"
Keynote speaker Judge Shaunathan Bell inspired us to work for our dreams no matter the circumstances of our lives. He told us about another great American - Frederick Douglass - and all that he went through to achieve his dreams.
ELA Students received Certificates for completing the 2021-22 Extended Leadership Academy Program. Cherokee Co. Sheriff's Office Chief Investigator Tony Monroy made Judge Bell an Honorary ELA Member, with Certificate and Shirt presentation. Tony is also the Extended Family Board President.
Community leaders and ELA Presenters turned out to support our ELA students in their graduation ceremony. The Cherokee County Historical Museum staff donated the facility for our students to tour and the Graduation Ceremony. Cherokee County Schools transported students to the event.
