Extended Family is a community-based, 501(c)3 who works with families who are dealing with incarceration and provides them with the tools they need to successfully adapt to this new normal. Last year, we participated in “Giving Tuesday,” and, as always, the generosity of our supporters filled our hearts with gratitude and helped us continue to reach families in need. This year, we are excited to once again be a part of Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Every dollar donated helps us fulfill our mission, “To offer help and inspire hope,” for the 1 in 28 children in the nation who currently have an incarcerated loved one.
We are so grateful for our supporters and the opportunities that we have had this year to impact the lives of all of those affected by incarceration including the children and adult family members, those currently incarcerated and working to maintain attachments with their families, and those who have served their time and have returned to their communities. With your support, we are working to prevent children from entering the justice system, reducing the rate of recidivism among youth and adult returned citizens, and helping break the cycle of incarceration in families.
