Leslie Mobbs joined the Extended Family staff in July of 2023 as a Program Leader.  Leslie has a medical background and started working as an Operating Room Technologist at the age of 19.  After working in operating rooms for six years, she went to work for a surgeon for four years.  She and her husband became foster parents in 2015 with the hopes of giving a home to children who needed it, either temporarily or permanently.  She and her husband ended up adopting through foster care and are now the proud parents of 4 children.

Leslie brings that same love for children into her work with Extended Family and shared her vision, “My hope is for all children to know that they are not alone in this world and that there are others, maybe as close as sitting in the next desk or room, who are going through similar situations as them.”  Leslie has learned in her own personal experiences to look for the positives in difficult situations.  One of her favorite quotes is credited to J. Lynn, “Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.”  Leslie says this has been very true for her personally many times and some of her greatest blessings have come from what she thought at the time were the worst possible situations.  She is excited and honored to be sharing her positive spirit with Our Kids.
